Kitchen and Bathroom Tiling in Worthing, Lancing and Brighton

Lancing-based builders and landscapers covering Worthing, Brighton, Shoreham and the surrounding areas.

We tile kitchen and bathroom walls and floors, including the preparation and waterproofing that sits behind them.

It suits anyone fitting a new kitchen or bathroom, replacing dated tiles, or dealing with grout and sealant that has started to fail.

Layouts are set out before a single tile goes on so cuts land sensibly and lines run true. Wet areas are tanked, and the job is finished with clean grout and neat silicone.

What we do

  • Bathroom wall tiling
  • Shower and wet area tanking
  • Kitchen splashbacks
  • Floor tiling in porcelain and ceramic
  • Large format tile fitting
  • Mosaic and feature panels
  • Tile removal and wall preparation
  • Backer board and levelling
  • Regrouting and resealing
  • Silicone renewal
  • Underfloor heating over-tiling
  • Cut outs for sockets and fittings

Why it matters

Getting it right the first time.

Most tiling failures are not the tiles, they are what is behind them. Tiling straight onto old plasterboard in a shower without tanking will let water through eventually, and mouldy grout in a Sussex bathroom is usually a ventilation and sealing problem rather than a cleaning one. Getting the substrate flat and waterproof is what keeps the wall sound for years.

FAQs

Common questions.

How long does a bathroom take to tile?

A standard bathroom is usually two to four days including preparation, tanking and grouting.

Do I need the walls tanked?

Inside a shower or bath enclosure, yes. Elsewhere in the room it is normally not necessary.

Can you tile over existing tiles?

Sometimes, if they are sound, flat and well bonded. Removing them is usually the better long term option and we will say which we would recommend.

Why does my grout keep going black?

Nearly always damp sitting on the surface from poor ventilation or failed silicone. Regrouting alone will not fix it if the cause stays.

Do you supply materials or can I use my own?

Either. Most people choose their own tiles and we supply the adhesive, grout and boards.

Can you tile over underfloor heating?

Yes. Electric mat systems are tiled over with a flexible adhesive suitable for heated floors.
