How long does a patio take?
A typical rear patio takes three to five working days, depending on size, access and how much digging out is needed.
Do I need planning permission for a garden wall?
Usually not if it is under two metres, or under one metre where it fronts a road. We will flag it if we think your job needs consent.
Which patio material lasts best near the coast?
Porcelain is the most stable and easiest to keep clean. Sandstone looks softer but needs sealing and more upkeep in exposed gardens.
Can you fix a patio that holds water?
Often yes. It usually comes down to falls and drainage, and in many cases we can relay the affected area rather than the whole patio.
Is composite decking worth the extra cost?
For most Sussex gardens yes. It costs more up front but does not need annual treating and copes far better with damp and salt air.
Do you supply materials or can I use my own?
Either. We can supply everything at trade prices, or lay materials you have chosen and bought yourself.
